Sourcing Operations Leader Asst Manager

  • Position Title: Sourcing - Operations Leader / Asst. Manager
  • Function : Sourcing
  • Reporting to: Sourcing - Operations Manager
  • Job Scope includes  :
    • Assume line management responsibility for a team of typically 8- 10
Procurement Specialists/Sr. Procurement Specialists who provide Sourcing Process Support to Sourcing &Logistics Team & Clients
The Job Involves:
·         Providing Buying , Transaction, Strategic & Analytic  support  by performing wide Range of Direct & Indirect Commodity work requests using broader knowledge of Sourcing & Procurement
·         Driving Fundamental Improvements in Commodity Area’s.
·         Significant interaction with US Sites , Suppliers , Sourcing Managers & Buyers
·         Provide Subject Matter Support on Sourcing Domain to Procurement Specialists to maximize the effectiveness / efficiency of the process.
    • Work Closely with Suppliers, Buyers, Sourcing Managers and Sites to provide Procurement Support.
    • Serve as the first escalation point (both as people manager & SME ) within the team and for S&L and Clients
    • Work closely with the Quality Team to improve the efficiency / quality of the work
    • Management & Development of the individuals on the team, including performance & career management.

A.    Excellent Verbal  & Written Communication Skills
B.     Overall atleast 7 Yrs of experience in Sourcing & Procurement domain ,with atleast 2 Yrs in People Management/Leadership
C.     Experience in SAP Materials Management
D.    Experience in Sourcing & Procurement Domain
E.     Good Negotiation Skills
F.      Leadership & Problem Solving Skills
G.    Proven skills in leading and coaching people and organizations
H.    Effective in leading and managing change
I.       Experience in working in an international framework
J.       Sourcing / Procurement Experience / knowledge
K.     Customer and client service orientation
L.      Experience in handling multiple processes
M.    Subject matter expertise and ability to develop front line resources in the work being managed.
N.    Procurement System (SAP Exp) / Transactional Processing Knowledge
O.    Ability to understand contracts and contract language
P.      Good Excel / Power Point / Word skills
Q.    Good  Multitasking , prioritization, time management skills
R.     Ability to work independently in complex, challenging, stressful environment
